Recycling Guidelines

Keep your in compliance and your recycling clean. Bruno’s follows Massachusetts and local recycling rules to make sure your materials are processed properly and not rejected at the transfer station.

What’s Accepted

  • Cardboard (flattened)
  • Mixed paper (office paper, magazines, newspapers)
  • Plastic bottles and containers (#1, #2, and #5)
  • Aluminum and tin cans
  • Glass bottles and jars (clear, green, brown)

What to Leave Out

  • Plastic bags or film wrap
  • Styrofoam
  • Food waste
  • Soiled paper products (napkins, paper towels, pizza boxes)
  • Electronics or batteries
  • Hazardous materials or chemicals

Quick Tips

  • Rinse containers
  • No bagged recyclables
  • Keep lids off
  • Break down cardboard boxes

This will make it so you can fit more in your recycling receptacle saving you precious tote space.

Wood (clean or treated) · Drywall and sheetrock · Roofing shingles · Siding (non-asbestos) · Windows and doors · Insulation · Scrap metal and non-hazardous fixtures · Packaging and general construction debris (non-food)

Not Allowed: Yard waste, tires, appliances, mattresses, electronics, paint, hazardous materials, or any liquids.

❄️ Weather Update: Service Delays Following Jan 26 Storm

Due to the snowstorm on Monday, January 26th, Bruno’s MV has adjusted our collection schedule. To ensure the safety of our crew and allow for town road clearing, all pickups are currently delayed by 1–2 days.

  • When to Set Out: Please place your barrels and totes out on your regularly scheduled day. We are working hard to catch up and will get to you as soon as possible!

  • Accessibility: Please ensure barrels and totes are shoveled out and accessible.

  • Safety First: We will resume service on your street as soon as it is plowed and safe for our trucks.

Food waste (non-liquid), paper goods (plates, napkins, cups), disposable utensils, decorations made of paper or plastic, cardboard boxes (flattened), beverage containers (plastic, aluminum, glass), non-hazardous cleaning materials, balloons (deflated), disposable tablecloths.

Important: Hazardous waste, batteries, electronics, liquids, paint, and construction debris are strictly prohibited.
